StyLiS Studios was founded in 2014 by Litozinnamon and Shaylan007, two game developers on Roblox. The two worked together prior to the creation of the studio, having been working on Call of Robloxia 5 (CoR5), originally made by Lito. The studio was created to help script CoR5's Summer Update. At this time, the studio was only comprised of Shaylan and Lito.

Due to issues regarding CoR5, Lito decided to stop working on the game and instead start work on a new game with Shaylan, which was called Phantom Forces (PF). During the later half of 2014, Lito recruited AxisAngle as a developer, the third main member of StyLiS Studios.

As Phantom Forces began to increase in popularity, Lito hired another member, Buddyism. He was initially hired as a moderator, but later became a developer and the Community Manager. Buddyism left the group around 2017, and remains largely absent.

After some convincing, some members of StyLiS started the Community Testing Environment (CTE), with approval from the developers. This resulted in two new members being added to the development team - HypocriticalDragon, primarily as the new Community Manager, and lArekan as a sound designer.

Later on, Semaphorism was added to the development team. He is single-handedly responsible for supporting the StyLiS Studios website as well as other web-based features of StyLiS.

Developers[]

litozinnamon[]

Harrison Yuan, known online as litozinnamon, is one of the primary programmers for Phantom Forces. He is the co-founder of StyLiS, along with Shaylan Young (Shay). He originally created CoR5, a first-person shooter game on Roblox. To say that Lito is the core of StyLiS is an understatement, given that he is responsible for the majority of the game's mechanics, framework, and UI.

In-game, there are multiple references to Lito and his interests; a key example of this is his cubicle on Highway Lot that contains anime, suggesting Lito watches anime. His graffiti is also featured in many maps, including those made by the community.

Lito is currently working on development of Call of Robloxia (CoR), a reboot of the original CoR5. He is also undertaking a UI rework for PF, as well as helping with the server hub with Raspy and Shay.

shaylan007[]

Shaylan Young, known online as shaylan007 or simply Shay, is the lead builder and modeler for StyLiS Studios. He is the co-founder of StyLiS, along with Harrison Yuan (lito). He was originally brought in by Lito to work on CoR5, but was later responsible for the majority of PF's original maps, and all of the gun models. He has also made many of the melee weapons in the game. While many of his original maps have been revamped, either by him or by community contributors, many still stick to the original layouts.

Currently, Shay is working on development of CoR, responsible for maps and models, as he is in PF. He is also working on the server hub.

AxisAngle[]

Trey Reynolds, known online as AxisAngle, is one of the main developers for PF, responsible for most of the math functions in game - bullet drop, animations; anything that uses math was most likely written by Axis. He was brought into the studio in fall 2014. As a programmer, Axis is also responsible for a large portion of the framework, UI, particle effects, foot planting, and much more. He even made a built-in aimbot, which users were able to use on April Fools 2016.

Axis is sometimes jokingly referred to as the "math wizard".

Semaphorism[]

Semaphorism, also known as the database wizard, is another main developer at StyLiS. True to his title, he is responsible for all of the back-end database setup, with him running the now defunct StyLiS Studios forum, as well as integrating PF with new web-based features, including the support bot on Discord.

Raspy_Pi[]

Raspy_Pi, usually known simply as Raspy, is another programmer for StyLiS. His background in exploiting, namely as a white-hat hacker, has allowed him to expose many vulnerabilities within PF and StyLiS as a whole, as well as within Roblox itself. He stands at the #2 position in Roblox's HackerOne program.

Raspy is currently working on fixing and updating the framework of PF to make it more optimized and combat exploiters, as well as helping the other developers on CoR.

He is the most recent addition to the development team.

Contributors[]

Contributors are community members and StyLiS employees who have created content for StyLiS games, namely PF. They are divided into two categories: Contractors & Main Contributors and Standard Contributors.

Contractors & Main Contributors[]

Contractors and Main Contributors are people who have contributed major changes to StyLiS games and platforms.

Mardemon1[]

Mardemon1, more commonly known as Mar, was originally part of the CTE team. He created the majority of the skin designs for PF, including revisiting older skins and remaking them.

Later, he was assigned the Contractor position; his role was to fill in for the main developers while they focused on other projects, namely CoR. This involved balancing new guns, attachments, and melees, especially after HypocriticalDragon left the team, as well as handling map and melee submissions from standard contributors. He also made some maps of his own, including Bazaar, Mirage Collapse and the revamped visuals for Desert Storm.

Mar was instrumental in the organization of the Halloween 2020, Winter 2020, and April Fools 2020/21 updates, organizing community map-makers to create event-specific versions of the main game maps, and asset-creators to create melees for those updates. He also contributed multiple maps and melees to these events himself.

Community opinions of Mar's changes were mixed, with a subset of the community being in vocal-opposition of them, even calling for him to be removed from the contractor position.

After months of this opposition, Mar posted a statement on April 1st 2021, wherein he announced that he was stepping down and stepping back from the PF community, citing mental health as one of the main reasons for his decision.

format_quote
Hey guys, Mar here with a bit of a saddening message. This isn't going to be an April fools statement, so despite the timing of it this message is actually serious...

I know I haven't been perfect and near the end it became very apparent that despite my passion and love for the game it has become very apparent my personality, mood, and mental health has diminished greatly since coming back to develop for the game. It has gotten to a point that it took an outside force to pull me away from it to make me realize how obsessed I became over an honestly toxic relationship I had with the game.

I love you all, and it sickens me to say but I am stepping down for my own health. I wasn't perfect, that was certainly clear especially at the end. I just hope I at least made some of you happy with my time here. I wish the best for you guys in the future, especially for War Bonds. Have a good one.
–Mardemon1, April 1st 2021

After this, Mar left the StyLiS Discord.

SundownMKII[]

SundownMKII is responsible for reworking a portion of the UI in PF, most notably the in-game combat HUD. He is also one of the admins on this wiki.

HackaFiskende[]

HackaFiskende, commonly referred to as Hacka, is an ex-staff member for both the Teamspeak and Discord servers, with some contributions to mapping.

HypocriticalDragon[]

HypocriticalDragon, more commonly known as simply Hypo, was a developer for PF. He worked as the Community Manager, and handled weapon balance. He was hired after the CTE closed. It is rumored that the M45A1 is his personal pistol, as his name was embossed into the base of the magazine. He is no longer affiliated with StyLiS studios, and is no longer a member of the Discord.

lArekan[]

Arekan was a sound designer for PF, brought onto the team with Hypo after the CTE closed. He was responsible for the majority of weapon sounds, though many of these were replaced in a recent update. He left shortly before Hypo did.

Cid9[]

Cid9 is an in-house contractor that was employed in December of 2022. He was brought in after the previous contractor had left in the middle of a major rebalancing update. His mission statement summarizes his goal for PF as the new balance changer, and how he wishes to give the community the changes they want. He also seems to have a fascination with potatoes.

Standard Contributors[]

Standard Contributors are people who have contributed smaller, but still notable, creations to the main game. These are usually maps, melee weapons, stats, or artwork.

Map Makers[]

Map makers make maps for Phantom Forces. Here are the maps made by each map maker. For convenience purposes, only maps that have entered the production database have been logged.

Asset Creators[]

Asset creators are responsible for making melee weapons and props for use in maps.

Artists[]

Artists are responsible for any art the game uses - splash screens, thumbnails, advertising material.
